Activating your Starlink service is a straightforward online process that takes about 10 minutes to complete. You’ll visit starlink.com/activate, enter the Kit ID printed on your Starlink box, create or sign in to your Starlink account, choose a service plan, and add a payment method. Once you confirm your order, your service is active and ready to use as soon as your hardware is installed.
Before you start, have the following ready:
  • Kit ID — printed on the outside of your Starlink box (starts with KIT)
  • A valid email address — used to create or sign in to your Starlink account
  • A credit or debit card — required to complete billing setup and confirm your plan

Activation Steps

Go to the Starlink activation page

Open a web browser and navigate to starlink.com/activate, or launch the Starlink app on your iOS or Android device and tap Activate Kit from the home screen.

Enter your Kit ID

Locate the Kit ID on the label affixed to your Starlink box — it begins with KIT followed by a string of numbers and letters. Type or paste it into the Starlink Identifier field, then click (or tap) Continue.

Sign in or create an account

If you already have a Starlink account, enter your email address and password to sign in. If you’re new to Starlink, select Create Account, provide your email address, choose a secure password, and verify your email when prompted.

Select a service plan

Review the available service plans — Residential, Roam, and Business — and select the one that best fits your needs. Each plan displays its monthly price, data policy, and key features to help you decide.

Enter billing information and confirm your order

Enter your credit or debit card details in the billing form. Review your order summary, including the selected plan and any applicable taxes or fees, then click Confirm Order to complete your purchase.

Check your confirmation email

After your payment is processed, Starlink sends a confirmation email to the address on your account. Your service is now active and visible in your account dashboard, where the dish will appear as Active.

Activation by Method

  1. Navigate to starlink.com/activate in any modern web browser on your computer, tablet, or phone.
  2. Enter your Kit ID from the box and click Continue.
  3. Sign in to your existing Starlink account or create a new one using your email address and a password.
  4. Browse the available service plans (Residential, Roam, Business), compare features and pricing, and select the plan that suits your usage.
  5. Fill in your billing details and click Confirm Order to finalise activation.
  6. A confirmation email lands in your inbox — your account dashboard now shows the dish as Active.
Your Starlink service is active immediately after payment, but you won’t have internet access until your hardware is fully installed and your dish has a clear view of the sky.
