# How to Find Your Starlink Kit ID on the Shipping Box

> Learn where to find your Starlink Kit ID on your shipping box sticker, and what to do if your box is missing or the ID isn't working.

Your Starlink Kit ID (also called the Starlink identifier) is a unique code assigned to your specific kit — which includes Dishy (the dish), a router, power supply, cables, and mounting hardware. You need this ID to begin activating your service at [starlink.com/activate](https://starlink.com/activate). The Kit ID is printed on the outside of your Starlink shipping box, either on a sticker or directly on the box itself, and always starts with the three letters **KIT**.

## Locating Your Kit ID

    Look over all sides of the box for a sticker or printed label. Labels are most commonly found on the top or one of the larger side panels of the box.

    Scan the label for a code beginning with the three letters **K-I-T**. This is your Kit ID. It may appear alongside a barcode or QR code on the same label.

## Troubleshooting

  If you no longer have your shipping box, you have a few options to retrieve your Kit ID or an equivalent identifier:

  * **Check your order confirmation email** — Starlink includes your Kit ID in the order confirmation email sent to you at the time of purchase. Search your inbox for an email from Starlink.
  * **Log in to your Starlink account** — Sign in at [starlink.com](https://starlink.com) and navigate to your account dashboard. You can find your device's serial number there, which Starlink support can use to look up your Kit ID.
  * **Contact Starlink support** — Visit [starlink.com/support](https://starlink.com/support) to get in touch with the support team. Have your order number or account email ready to help them locate your information quickly.

  If the Kit ID you entered isn't being accepted, try the following:

  * **Check for typos** — The code must start with **KIT** (all uppercase). Make sure you haven't accidentally omitted any characters.
  * **Watch for similar-looking characters** — It's easy to confuse `0` (zero) with `O` (the letter O), or `1` (one) with `I` (the letter I). Review each character carefully.
  * **Scan instead of typing** — If you're using the Starlink mobile app, try scanning the barcode or QR code on the box label instead of manually typing the Kit ID. This eliminates the chance of a transcription error.
  * **Contact support** — If none of the above resolves the issue, visit [starlink.com/support](https://starlink.com/support) for further assistance.
