# Connect Your Devices to Your Starlink Wi-Fi Network

> Find your Starlink Wi-Fi network name and default password, connect all your devices, and learn how to customize your network settings.

After completing your hardware setup, your Starlink router immediately begins broadcasting a Wi-Fi network. Every device you own — phones, laptops, smart TVs, and more — can join that network just like any standard Wi-Fi, no special configuration required.

  <Step title="Open Wi-Fi Settings">
    On your device, navigate to Wi-Fi settings and scan for available nearby networks.

  <Step title="Select Your Starlink Network">
    Look for the network named **STARLINK** in the list. If you have already customized your network name through the Starlink app, select your custom name instead.

  <Step title="Enter Your Password">
    Enter the Wi-Fi password printed on the label on the **bottom of your router**. The password is case-sensitive, so type it exactly as shown.

  <Step title="Verify Internet Access">
    Once your device shows it is connected, open a web browser and load any website to confirm your internet connection is working.

## Connect by Device Type

    1. Open the **Settings** app.
    2. Tap **Wi-Fi** and make sure Wi-Fi is toggled on.
    3. Under "Other Networks," tap **STARLINK** (or your custom network name).
    4. Enter your router password and tap **Join**.
    5. A checkmark next to the network name confirms you are connected.

    1. Open the **Settings** app and tap **Network & internet** (or **Connections** on some devices).
    2. Tap **Wi-Fi** and enable it if it is off.
    3. Tap **STARLINK** (or your custom network name) from the list.
    4. Enter your router password and tap **Connect**.
    5. "Connected" will appear beneath the network name when successful.

    1. Click the **Wi-Fi icon** in the taskbar (bottom-right of your screen).
    2. Click **STARLINK** (or your custom network name) in the network list.
    3. Check **Connect automatically** if you want your PC to rejoin automatically in future.
    4. Click **Connect**, enter your router password, and click **Next**.
    5. Windows will confirm "Connected, secured" when the connection succeeds.

    1. Click the **Wi-Fi icon** in the menu bar (top-right of your screen).
    2. Select **STARLINK** (or your custom network name) from the dropdown list.
    3. Enter your router password in the dialog that appears.
    4. Click **Join**.
    5. A filled Wi-Fi icon in the menu bar indicates a successful connection.

## Customize and Manage Your Network

    Open the **Starlink app**, go to **Network settings**, and update your SSID and password to something personal and memorable. Changes take effect immediately and apply to all future connections.

    For the lowest possible latency, plug an Ethernet cable from your device directly into the **LAN port** on the back of your Starlink router. Wired connections are ideal for gaming, video calls, and desktops.

    The **Starlink app** shows you every device currently on your network. You can view connection details, monitor bandwidth usage, and remove devices you no longer recognize.

    Want to use your own router or mesh system? Enable **bypass mode** in the Starlink app, then connect your third-party router to the Starlink router's Ethernet port. Your router handles all Wi-Fi from that point on.

<Accordion title="I can't find the STARLINK network">
  If the **STARLINK** network does not appear in your device's Wi-Fi list, work through these checks:

  * **Confirm the router is powered on.** The LED on your router should be lit. If it is off, verify the power cable is firmly seated at both ends.
  * **Wait a few minutes after first boot.** On initial startup, the router may take 2–5 minutes to finish booting and begin broadcasting its network.
  * **Check your distance from the router.** Move closer to the router — ideally within the same room — and scan again.
  * **Forget and re-scan.** On your device, forget any previously saved Starlink networks, then turn Wi-Fi off and back on to trigger a fresh scan.
